Job Overview:
The Senior Anti-Corruption Adviser will play a crucial role within the Economic Crime and Anti-Corruption Unit of the OSCE Mission to Serbia. This position involves formulating and implementing anti-corruption policies and strategies that align with the mission's objectives. The adviser will be responsible for managing projects aimed at enhancing government transparency, improving anti-bribery measures, and strengthening the capacity of both the public and private sectors to combat corruption. The role requires a deep understanding of international anti-corruption standards and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, civil society, and international organizations. The adviser will also be expected to provide expert advice on legal frameworks related to anti-corruption and economic crimes, ensuring that the mission's initiatives are effective and sustainable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Anti-Corruption Adviser will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:

• Formulating and developing anti-corruption policies and strategies that align with the OSCE Mission's mandate.
• Planning, implementing, and managing the Economic Crime and Anti-Corruption Unit's programs and projects.
• Advising on laws and regulations related to anti-corruption and government transparency, particularly in public procurement and economic crimes.
• Ensuring effective management and oversight of OSCE funds allocated to the Unit's programs.
• Liaising with various stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and the private sector, to promote anti-corruption initiatives.
• Supervising local mission members and ensuring their effective contribution to the Unit's objectives.
• Performing additional duties as required by the Head of the Rule of Law and Human Rights Department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in law, economics, or finance, or an equivalent qualification supplemented by formal training in economic crime or anti-corruption. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of international anti-corruption legal standards and instruments is essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Candidates must also have a valid automobile driving license and be capable of driving manual transmission vehicles.

Educational Background:
The position requires a first-level university degree in law, economics, finance, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in other subjects may be considered if they have relevant formal training or certification in economic crime or anti-corruption. A higher degree or additional qualifications in related fields will be viewed favorably.

Experience:
A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience is required for this position. Candidates should have a proven track record in project design, implementation, and management, particularly in the context of anti-corruption initiatives. Experience working with international organizations or in similar roles will be advantageous.

Languages:
Professional fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of the local language or common lingua franca spoken in the mission area is desirable but not required. Candidates with proficiency in additional languages relevant to the region will be considered favorably.

This position is classified as a Senior Professional level and is offered on a fixed-term basis under an international secondment contract.
