Job Overview: The OAI Digital Innovation Internship is designed for individuals with a strong technology background who are interested in applying data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) within a multilateral development bank (MDB) environment. The intern will contribute to the Office of Anticorruption and Integrity (OAI) by enhancing its capabilities to utilize technology and data to improve integrity and anticorruption efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in digital innovation that strengthens integrity risk management, operational efficiency, and knowledge management. The intern will be involved in designing and prototyping digital solutions that enhance reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and deepen insights into integrity risks. The internship is expected to last for 11 weeks, starting in June 2026, and will provide valuable experience in a dynamic and impactful setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
Designing and prototyping small-scale digital solutions that enhance reporting accuracy and streamline manual processes.
Assessing the feasibility of proposed innovations and developing implementation blueprints for potential scale-up.
Developing dashboards that consolidate and visualize integrity-related data, as well as piloting process automations to improve routine tasks.
Building structured repositories of risk indicators and prototyping AI-enabled knowledge solutions.
Supporting OAI staff in adopting these tools and promoting the responsible use of AI across the organization.
Engaging in hands-on support for colleagues interested in creating their own efficiency-focused AI tools.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a master's degree program in fields such as computer science, engineering, statistics, finance, risk management, business analysis, economics, public policy, or a related discipline. Additionally, candidates should possess strong organizational skills, excellent time management abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is essential for effective communication within the organization.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this internship includes being currently enrolled in a master's degree program in relevant fields such as computer science, engineering, statistics, finance, risk management, business analysis, economics, public policy, or similar areas. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the internship tasks and responsibilities.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in roles that involve technology, data analytics, or AI. Experience with programming languages such as Python and C#, as well as familiarity with data manipulation using SQL, is highly desirable. Candidates should also have experience with Microsoft tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Power Automation, which are essential for the tasks involved in this internship.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. While not required, proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with diverse stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region.
