Job Overview:
The E T Consultant position at the World Bank involves engaging with various stakeholders to support the organization's mission in Afghanistan. Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
  • Partnership Support: Engaging regularly with donors and partners in Afghanistan, conducting field missions, and drafting donor-related materials such as reports and briefings.
  • Development Partners Relations Assistance: Supporting the management team in strengthening coordination with donors and development partners, drafting responses to inquiries, and preparing discussion notes for management meetings.
  • Administrative Support: Maintaining donor and partnership distribution lists, responding to information requests, and assisting in organizing missions to Kabul, including travel arrangements and expense statements.
  • Event Preparation: Assisting in the preparation and delivery of conferences, workshops, and negotiations, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Business Studies, Political Science, Finance, or International Relations. A minimum of three years of relevant experience, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected (FCV) contexts, is required. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of Afghanistan's FCV context and its aid architecture, with previous experience in donor relationship management being a significant advantage. Strong English language skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft and World Bank software applications.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant discipline that aligns with the World Bank's mission. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of development work and the socio-economic challenges faced by countries like Afghanistan.

Experience:
