Job Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for establishing a reliable and relevant delegation system for Action contre la Faim's mission in Burkina Faso, under the supervision of the Regional Operations Director for West and Southern Africa. Your responsibilities will include managing the preparation, updating, and implementation of a country strategy that is tailored to the national context and aligned with ACF's vision and mission. You will oversee the definition of ACF's programs and projects within the mission to ensure effective and efficient design, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, you will develop and enhance relationships between the mission and various stakeholders, including donors, civil society, the private sector, government agencies, and other organizations, recognizing diversity as an asset in the humanitarian community to maximize ACF's impact on malnutrition and its prevention. You will also lead the preparation and regular updating of the security plan in accordance with ACF's standards and procedures, supervise the management and development of human resources within the mission, and create a shared vision among all staff regarding ACF's values and program objectives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the appropriate mobilization, utilization, and management of financial and logistical resources in line with ACF's policies and donor requirements, acting as the primary liaison between the field and headquarters, maintaining good working relationships, responding to information requests, and seeking expertise from headquarters to optimize the implementation of the country strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation, updating, and implementation of a country strategy that aligns with ACF's vision and mission.
Oversee the definition and effective implementation of ACF's programs and projects within the mission.
Develop and improve relationships with donors, civil society, the private sector, government agencies, and other organizations.
Lead the preparation and regular updating of the security plan in accordance with ACF's standards.
Supervise the management and development of human resources within the mission.
Create a shared vision of ACF's values and program objectives among all staff.
Ensure the appropriate mobilization, utilization, and management of financial and logistical resources.
Act as the primary liaison between the field and headquarters, maintaining good working relationships and responding to information requests.
Solicit expertise from headquarters to optimize the implementation of the country strategy.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Master's degree (Bac+5) in project management, social action or humanitarian action, international relations, or political science. They should possess strong leadership skills, adaptability, and innovation, along with a diplomatic approach to interacting with national authorities and donors. A minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position within a complex security context is required, ideally with Action contre la Faim. Successful supervision of multicultural technical teams and management of humanitarian and/or development operations in similar contexts is essential.
Educational Background: A Master's degree (Bac+5) in relevant fields such as project management, social action, humanitarian action, international relations, or political science is required for this position.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in complex security environments. Experience with Action contre la Faim is preferred, along with a proven track record of successfully supervising multicultural teams and managing humanitarian or development operations.
Languages: Fluency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset.

It is a fixed-term contract (CDD) under Burkinabé law for 12 months, with a 3-month probation period. Salary will be determined according to ACF's salary scale, with the possibility of annual progression based on performance. Benefits include housing, transportation, 90% health insurance, and 100% individual accident insurance. Field travel within the country is expected.
