Job Overview: The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the communications, advocacy, and outreach strategies of the UN Women Japan Liaison Office. This position is designed to enhance the intern's understanding of UN Women's mission and operations while providing practical experience in multilateral technical cooperation. The intern will assist in various tasks aimed at increasing awareness of UN Women's initiatives among stakeholders such as media, policymakers, and the public. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's responsibilities include supporting the office's communications work, managing social media outreach, and assisting with website management. They will engage in research and coordination to build partnerships with public and private sectors for resource mobilization. The intern will also support the Unstereotype Alliance Japan National Chapter by creating visibility materials and preparing resources for meetings. Additionally, they will assist in planning workshops focused on Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) for private sector companies, produce various communications materials, coordinate advocacy activities, and help draft speeches and presentations for the Director.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have university studies in disciplines such as gender, human rights, development, or communications. They should be enrolled in a postgraduate program, in their final year of a bachelor's degree, or have recently graduated. If selected, they must start the internship within two years of graduation. The position requires fluency in English and excellent communication skills in Japanese, with knowledge of another UN language being an advantage.

Additional Notes: The internship is designed to provide practical experience and may include a stipend to support living costs for those not receiving financial support from other sources.
