Job Overview: The Executive Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the Office of the Regional Director at UN Women Europe and Central Asia (ECA). Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide executive support to the Office of the Regional Director by managing the calendar, scheduling appointments, arranging travel and accommodations, and maintaining contact rosters.
Undertake logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements for meetings, events, and workshops, including preparing minutes and summaries.
Facilitate communication between the Office of the Regional Director and other units, reviewing and prioritizing correspondence, and ensuring timely responses.
Support external relations activities by coordinating interactions with high-ranking officials and managing protocol matters.
Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and the organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a Bachelor's degree in business administration or public administration being an asset. A strong understanding of administrative rules and regulations is essential, along with the ability to manage confidential information and create clear presentations using IT tools. Candidates should also demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Educational Background: The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary education. A Bachelor's degree in business administration or public administration is preferred and considered an asset for candidates applying for this role.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, secretarial, or program roles. Experience with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and web-based management systems, is essential. Familiarity with modern ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud, is desirable, and experience with the Quantum system is considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English and Turkish is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another UN official working language is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
