Job Overview:
The Assistant Technical OfficerDatabase Management will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of data processing and management for the EpiC project. This position is vital for ensuring the integrity and consistency of data across various systems, particularly focusing on DHIS2-based systems. The role involves maintaining data structures, enabling secure access to data, and ensuring robust data security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and recovery mechanisms. The Assistant Technical Officer will also be responsible for designing and producing analytical products, such as maps and dashboards, to facilitate data analysis and support program planning and decision-making. This position requires a strong technical background in database management and analytics, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Technical Officer will support routine data management operations, including handling data records, responding to data queries, and assisting with data cleaning, validation, and processing activities. They will ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of health and program data by adhering to organizational data protection policies and procedures. The role includes monitoring compliance with data confidentiality standards, managing hardware and software systems for data collection and analysis, and preparing analytical outputs for reports and presentations. Additionally, the Assistant Technical Officer will develop and maintain user guides and standard operating procedures, provide technical assistance to staff, ensure data quality and timeliness, support capacity-building activities, and identify GIS and spatial analysis requirements to inform program planning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a B.Sc/BA degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Information Management, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in data collection, database management, or information systems supporting health programs. A strong background in District Health Information Systems (DHIS2) is essential, including experience with data entry, management, reporting, and basic administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or government agency, particularly in public health or health systems strengthening programs, is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
