Job Overview: The Country Operations Technical Project Advisor I for the Delivering Innovation in Self-Care (DISC) project will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and adaptation of the DISC project across various countries. This position is focused on increasing awareness, availability, and access to contraceptive self-care methods, empowering women to take control of their sexual and reproductive health. The advisor will be responsible for developing and translating implementation guidance, training and coaching partners, and monitoring performance data to guide project adaptations. The role also involves cultivating partnerships with stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of DISC's impact. The advisor will contribute to the development and implementation of technical activities and strategies, oversee project deliverables, and report on program activities, ensuring alignment with PSI's quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Country Operations Technical Project Advisor I include:
Contributing to the development and implementation of the project's technical activities and strategy, including innovative approaches in quality of care and demand generation.
Overseeing specific project deliverables to ensure timely completion in accordance with PSI quality standards (45% of time).
Regularly reporting on program activities, documenting key learnings, and preparing technical reports for management and donors (20% of time).
Developing and contextualizing project technical guidance and providing technical assistance and training to enhance the capacity of project staff and stakeholders (25% of time).
Conducting field monitoring of technical activities to assess progress and resource utilization, providing inputs for budget development and realignment (10% of time).

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field, with a Master's Degree (or international equivalent) preferred, such as a Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science (MSc). A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates should demonstrate solid technical knowledge in family planningprogram implementation, with a preference for knowledge in self-administered contraception. The ability to provide technical assistance and capacity building to project staff and stakeholders is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree in public health or a related discipline. The educational qualifications should be complemented by relevant experience in the field, particularly in family planning and reproductive health.
Experience: The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in program implementation, particularly in family planning and reproductive health. Candidates should have a proven track record of providing technical assistance and capacity building to project staff and stakeholders. Experience in developing and implementing innovative technical approaches in quality of care and demand generation is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is essential, both spoken and written, as well as proficiency in the language of the applicable country or region. French fluency is required for this position, given the focus on French-speaking countries and stakeholders.
