Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position at UNDP Lebanon involves supporting GIS-based research and spatial analysis to develop a conceptual bus-based public transport network map for the Greater Beirut Area. This role is crucial in contributing to evidence-based mobility planning and enhancing sustainable transport and urban accessibility. The volunteer will engage in compiling and structuring spatial datasets, analyzing road network connectivity, and assessing population distribution to inform the development of a demand-oriented public transport network concept. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Online Volunteer include:

• Conducting GIS-based research to compile and structure spatial datasets relevant to public transport planning.
• Analyzing road network connectivity and population distribution to identify key mobility corridors and connectivity needs.
• Supporting the development of a conceptual bus public transport network map based on spatial demand patterns and urban accessibility considerations.
• Utilizing publicly available and project-provided datasets to inform the analysis and recommendations.
• Preparing a comprehensive GIS-based conceptual map that reflects the findings of the analysis.
• Collaborating with UNDP Lebanon team members to ensure alignment with broader sustainable transport objectives.

Required Qualifications:
