Job Overview:
The Country Team Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of the project aimed at protecting migrant children's rights. This position involves serving as the Secretariat for the Country Team, maintaining communication among partners, and organizing meetings. The Coordinator will also undertake desk reviews and co-author reports that map practices and needs along the migration route. Additionally, the Coordinator will co-organize regional convenings to develop frameworks for child-sensitive case management and ensure continuity of care for migrant children. The role requires a strong focus on collaboration, evidence generation, and the development of inclusive policies that address the unique challenges faced by migrant children.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks including maintaining an up-to-date staff directory, convening meetings, drafting agendas and notes, and ensuring organized communication among partners. They will conduct desk reviews and contribute to the Central Mediterranean Joint Report, collaborating with other Country Team Coordinators. The Coordinator will also organize regional convenings, prepare participants, manage logistics, and coordinate reporting for the Country Team. Specific activities include developing costed national action plans, co-drafting concept notes, and ensuring effective collaboration among diverse stakeholders. The Coordinator will also be responsible for quantitative and qualitative reporting, ensuring that all deliverables are met in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or a related social science field. They should have substantial experience in government liaison, partnership management, and multi-agency coordination. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engaging with government counterparts, facilitating high-level meetings, and navigating complex political environments. Expertise in child protection and migration issues is essential, along with strong analytical and reporting abilities. Leadership skills in multi-partner settings are also required, ensuring equal participation and operational coherence among partners.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another social science discipline is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of child protection and migration issues, as well as for effectively engaging with government and multi-agency partners.

Experience:
The position requires a senior professional with extensive experience in government liaison and partnership management. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to engage with government counterparts at various levels and facilitate collaboration among diverse partners. Experience in child protection and migration issues is highly desirable, as is a proven ability to coordinate qualitative reporting and contribute to joint reports. The role demands strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex operational environments effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and French is mandatory for this position, as these languages are essential for effective communication with stakeholders in the region. A working knowledge of English is considered an advantage, as it may facilitate collaboration with international partners. Proficiency in these languages will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and oral assessments to ensure candidates meet the language requirements.
