The office in Bangkok coordinates a multi-disciplinary team of nearly 100 professionals who work closely with member states and regional organizations to implement programs effectively. ROSEAP also maintains a satellite presence in 10 countries, including Fiji, to ensure that its initiatives are responsive to local needs and contexts.

Job Overview:
The Gender, Social Inclusion and Anti-Corruption Expert will be stationed in Suva, Fiji, at the UNODC Pacific Office. This role is pivotal in promoting Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) across UNODC’s thematic areas within the Pacific region. The expert will work to enhance the inclusivity and responsiveness of UNODC’s initiatives, ensuring that interventions are equitable, culturally sensitive, and effectively address the needs of marginalized groups, including women, youth, and individuals with disabilities. The position entails providing cross-cutting technical support to the anti-corruption program while fostering partnerships with governments, civil society, and regional organizations to advance GEDSI commitments. The expert will play a crucial role in integrating GEDSI considerations into anti-corruption and governance initiatives, thereby contributing to the overall mission of UNODC in the Pacific.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Gender, Social Inclusion and Anti-Corruption Expert will have a range of responsibilities, including: providing technical advice on integrating GEDSI into UNODC’s anti-corruption initiatives; leading the design and implementation of inclusive policies and capacity-building activities; adapting global anti-corruption frameworks to the Pacific context with a GEDSI focus; facilitating partnerships with women’s organizations, youth networks, and disability groups; conducting research on the intersection of corruption and exclusion; developing knowledge products and advocacy materials; contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts; supporting donor engagement through proposals and reports; mentoring junior colleagues and partners; and performing other related duties to enhance inclusive anti-corruption approaches.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of gender, social inclusion, and anti-corruption issues, with proven experience in policy development and implementation. They should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A solid background in research and analysis, particularly related to corruption and social exclusion, is essential. The ideal candidate should also have experience in capacity-building and training, as well as a commitment to promoting inclusivity in governance and anti-corruption efforts.

Educational Background:
A relevant advanced degree in social sciences, law, public policy, or a related field is required. Candidates with specialized training or certifications in gender studies, social inclusion, or anti-corruption will be given preference. A strong academic background that demonstrates a commitment to these areas is essential for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in areas related to gender equality, social inclusion, and anti-corruption. Experience working in the Pacific region or with international organizations is highly desirable. Proven track record in project management, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement is also important for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in the Pacific region, such as iTaukei or Hindi, would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Suva, Fiji, and may involve travel within the Pacific region. The role is full-time, and candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
