Job Overview:
The Enumerator position is integral to IOM's efforts in promoting international cooperation on migration issues and providing humanitarian assistance to migrants in need. The Enumerator will be responsible for conducting data collection activities in the field, specifically focusing on the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in collaboration with stakeholders from the 'Promoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integration' Project, including the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM). The role requires the Enumerator to engage with both host and migrant communities through quantitative and qualitative interviews, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with respect and cultural sensitivity. The Enumerator will report directly to IOM’s Senior Project Associate and Field Coordinator, maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical standards throughout the data collection process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Enumerator will have a range of responsibilities, including: conducting quantitative and qualitative interviews in the field with individuals from both host and migrant communities; maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards during interviews; reporting daily progress to the Team Leader and addressing any issues or incomplete interviews; conducting interviews in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner; utilizing established mobile data collection tools effectively; submitting daily updates to the Team Leader regarding progress, challenges, and observations; and performing any other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. The Enumerator is expected to demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering quality results in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Enumerator position should possess strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to ethical standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. They should demonstrate a respect for diversity and inclusion, as well as integrity and transparency in their work. Professionalism is essential, as the Enumerator will be expected to handle day-to-day challenges with careful judgment. Educational Background:
The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with further education in social sciences, international relations, or a related field are preferred. Additional training or certifications in data collection methodologies or research techniques would be advantageous.

Experience:
The Enumerator role is suitable for individuals with prior experience in data collection, research, or community engagement. Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in migration contexts, is highly desirable. Familiarity with mobile data collection tools and techniques is also beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for teamwork and effective communication, as well as a commitment to the values of the organization.

Languages:
Fluency in Turkish is mandatory, as it is essential for conducting interviews and engaging with local communities. Proficiency in English is also required to ensure effective communication with IOM staff and stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages spoken by migrant communities in the region would be considered an asset, enhancing the Enumerator's ability to connect with diverse populations.

Additional Notes:
This position is a volunteer assignment, not employment, and candidates should be aware that they will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. The UN Volunteer will receive a Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) of USD 645.93, paid in Turkish Lira, along with private insurance coverage for health, dental, life, and dismemberment through CIGNA. An entry allowance of USD 10 will also be provided. It is important to note that the allowances are not to be interpreted as a salary or compensation for volunteer work. This assignment is part of the UNV Special Programme Initiative (SPI) in Türkiye, which addresses specific volunteer needs within the United Nations system.
