Job Overview: The Business Systems Analyst position within the IT department of the IRC is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of business applications that support the organization's mission. This role involves collaborating with IT colleagues and business partners to ensure that the setup and deployment of business applications meet the needs of end users, particularly in the financial, supply chain, and project management domains. The analyst will be responsible for collecting and assessing system requirements, leading the administration and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems, and managing relationships with software vendors. The position requires a proactive approach to understanding cross-functional business processes and staying updated on industry trends and technologies relevant to enterprise systems. The Business Systems Analyst will also provide Level 3 support for enterprise systems and coordinate testing processes to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Business Systems Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Collecting and assessing system requirements from business users to ensure seamless configuration and delivery of business applications.
Collaborating with IT colleagues and business partners to implement solutions that align with IRC’s mission and business needs.
Leading the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems across departments such as finance, supply chain, and HR.
Ensuring that systems comply with organizational policies, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security standards, and compliance requirements.
Acquiring domain expertise in cross-functional business processes and the systems that support them.
Managing relationships with software vendors and implementation partners for system enhancements and issue resolution.
Maintaining comprehensive documentation of business processes, system configurations, data flows, and security models.
Coordinating with QA teams to support functional, user acceptance, and regression testing across systems.
Providing Level 3 support for enterprise systems, resolving complex issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams as needed. 1
Supporting processes for system updates, advancements, and new implementations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Business Systems Analyst position must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in crafting and supporting enterprise business systems. Equivalent experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and detailing cross-functional business, functional, and technical requirements, as well as experience with enterprise system testing, including case development and execution. Proficiency in system administration, support, and change management in a global or multi-site environment is essential. A strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP concepts and functionalities is required, along with superb communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams is crucial, as is the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse teams and organizational levels.
Educational Background: The educational background required for the Business Systems Analyst position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. Candidates with advanced degrees or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields are preferred. Additionally, certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is considered a valuable asset.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in crafting and supporting enterprise business systems. Candidates should have a proven track record of gathering, analyzing, and detailing business requirements, as well as experience in enterprise system testing. Experience working in the NGO or nonprofit sector, particularly in distributed or low-bandwidth environments, is preferred but not mandatory.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of the French language is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments.
Additional Notes: The Business Systems Analyst position is based in Pakistan and operates within a standard office working environment. Some international travel may be required as needed.
