Job Overview: The position of UN Volunteer involves supporting the creation, development, implementation, and monitoring of training strategies for Face to Face and Telemarketing channels across various areas. The role emphasizes ensuring that every interaction with potential and current donors is impactful and transformative, effectively communicating UNICEF's work for children as the central theme of each conversation. The volunteer will also work on enhancing the technical skills of team leaders and operational leaders, as well as quality control teams who operate in the back office. This role is crucial for strengthening the fundraising capabilities of the organization and ensuring sustainable resource mobilization for UNICEF's programs.
Duties and Responsibilities: The UN Volunteer will be responsible for promoting the achievement of income objectives, acquiring new donors, retaining existing donors, and reactivating canceled donors in collaboration with channel coordinators. They will develop and implement training and engagement strategies in conjunction with channel coordinators, adhering to the defined work plan timelines. The volunteer will conduct reinforcement training for various teams, covering programmatic intervention topics and UNICEF projects. They will train and develop fundraising skills for face-to-face fundraisers, telemarketers, new recruits, and existing campaign staff. Additionally, they will train leaders in leadership and team management skills. Regular field visits will be conducted to motivate, recognize, and collaborate with teams in different cities where operations are based. The volunteer will also gather feedback, questions, and ideas from teams to improve communication and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, respect for diversity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Strong planning and organizational skills, effective communication abilities, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to the principles of volunteering, including solidarity, compassion, reciprocity, and autonomy, are essential.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is required, preferably in fields related to social sciences, international development, or a similar area that aligns with UNICEF's mission and objectives.
Experience: Candidates should have experience in fundraising, training, or capacity building, particularly in non-profit or humanitarian contexts. Experience working with diverse teams and in multicultural environments is highly valued.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is considered an asset. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
Additional Notes: The contract duration is as specified, with the possibility of extensions subject to funding availability, operational needs, and satisfactory performance. The position requires full availability and exclusivity with the United Nations system. National UN Volunteers are responsible for securing their own housing and essential living needs. The position includes a monthly living allowance to cover housing, services, and ordinary living expenses, along with life, health, and permanent disability insurance, as well as final repatriation if applicable. National UN Volunteers are part of the insurance plan against intentional damage.
