Job Overview:
The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with DRC's Operations Handbook, internal guidelines, and donor requirements. This position involves participating in proposal development and preparing financial reports for donors. The Finance Coordinator is responsible for strengthening financial procedures and controls, conducting regular reviews of transactions, and supporting the Finance Manager in financial management and master budget planning. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including budget holders and grant staff, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with donor regulations. The Finance Coordinator will also be involved in training finance staff and providing technical support to area offices, ensuring adherence to DRC's financial rules and regulations. This position is essential for maintaining financial transparency and resource management within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Coordinator's duties include supporting the Finance Manager in planning the master budget for the country, monitoring budget control, and analyzing variances between budget and actual expenditures. The coordinator will provide financial management support to partners, compile financial reports, and maintain the online Master Budget in the ERP system. Responsibilities also include participating in budget review meetings, ensuring accurate reflection of budget revisions, and conducting spot checks of financial transactions. The Finance Coordinator will assist in preparing budgets for new projects, monitor compliance with donor policies, and contribute to audit preparations. Additionally, the role involves training finance staff, supporting the implementation of financial workflows, and assuming the Finance Manager role when necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in finance management roles, including accounting and internal/external audit. Experience working for a leading international non-governmental organization (INGO) with knowledge of donor requirements is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking and leadership abilities, possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills are preferred, along with a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
A university degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as finance, business management, accounting, or project management is required for this position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance management, including roles in accounting and audit. Experience with donor requirements and working with partners is highly desirable, as is familiarity with financial and grant management systems.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus for this role.
