Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position at UNDP is designed to provide support in various programs aimed at youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and climate action. The intern will be involved in the Climate Startup Support Programme, assisting with the open call process, managing startup profiles, and coordinating learning sessions for participants. Additionally, the intern will support the Youth Co:Lab Summit, helping startup founders prepare for showcasing opportunities and ensuring smooth execution of related sessions. This role requires a proactive and service-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to supporting youth founders and ecosystem partners. The intern will also engage in other ad hoc activities as needed, contributing to the overall mission of UNDP in promoting sustainable development and social impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will assist in the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Program Implementation Support - Climate Startup Support Programme (50%): - Support the open call process, including startup profile management, coordination of screening processes, and onboarding of selected participants. - Assist with the coordination and execution of weekly learning sessions and community learning events, including speaker coordination, session logistics, attendance tracking, and follow-up. - Support the consolidation of inputs for final programme reports and results showcasing.
  • Youth Co:Lab Summit – Startup Track Support (40%): - Support startup founders in preparing for showcasing opportunities, including pitching and speaking sessions. - Assist with on-site or pre-event preparations to ensure smooth execution of startup-related sessions. - Curate monthly opportunities relevant to founders and draft communication materials to showcase their achievements.
  • Other (10%): - Support other/ad hoc activities as seen relevant and needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: - Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree; or - Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree; or - Have graduated no longer than 1 year from a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent studies. The field of study should be in business administration, entrepreneurship, innovation studies, sustainable development, economics, international relations, public policy, or equivalent. Candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong academic results are valued, but may be complemented or substituted by relevant practical experience, particularly in entrepreneurship, startup support, programme delivery, community initiatives, or social impact work.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree, currently enrolled in a Master’s degree, or have graduated within the last year from a relevant degree program. The preferred fields of study include business administration, entrepreneurship, innovation studies, sustainable development, economics, international relations, public policy, or equivalent. The organization encourages applications from individuals with diverse academic backgrounds, emphasizing that strong academic performance can be supplemented by practical experience in relevant fields.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant practical experience, particularly in areas such as entrepreneurship, startup support, programme delivery, community initiatives, or social impact work. Languages:

Additional Notes:
The internship is unpaid, but UNDP will provide a monthly stipend of THB 8,302.50 in accordance with its internship policy. Interns are responsible for all other expenses related to the internship, including travel, accommodation, and health insurance. Interns must provide proof of enrollment in a health insurance plan and are expected to work full-time, although flexibility is allowed for educational commitments. It is important to note that interns are not eligible to apply for or be appointed to any post in UNDP during the internship period. Additionally, UNDP has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual exploitation and misconduct, and all selected candidates will undergo rigorous reference and background checks.
