Duties and Responsibilities: The contractor will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive review of existing regulations related to electrical appliances and hydrofluorocarbons, identifying key areas where gender considerations are necessary.
Engage with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to gather insights and feedback on the training needs.
Develop training materials that are gender-sensitive and tailored to the needs of various target groups, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, or webinars to deliver the content effectively, encouraging participation and interaction among attendees.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programme, collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
Prepare and submit reports detailing the development process, training outcomes, and recommendations for future initiatives.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in developing training programmes, particularly in the context of gender responsiveness and environmental regulations.
Strong understanding of gender issues and their implications in the context of electrical appliances and hydrofluorocarbons.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis to inform the training content.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Gender Studies, Environmental Science, Education, or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training in gender-responsive programming or adult education would be an advantage.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in developing training programmes or educational materials, with a focus on gender issues and environmental regulations. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in local languages spoken in Ghana would be considered an asset, as it would enhance communication with local stakeholders and participants.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the assignment is home-based, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. The contract duration is for 60 working days over a period of three months. The contractor will be expected to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal, and any inquiries regarding the tender must be communicated through the portal's messaging functionality.
