Job Overview:
The Junior Consultant for development coordination within the General Secretariat is tasked with supporting the implementation of development coordination efforts within the Government's General Secretariat. This role is crucial for ensuring that development initiatives are aligned with national priorities and effectively coordinated among various stakeholders. The consultant will work closely with government officials, UN agencies, and other partners to facilitate communication and collaboration. The consultant will also be responsible for gathering and analyzing data related to development projects, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of development coordination efforts. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Junior Consultant include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in the coordination of development initiatives among various government departments and agencies.
  • Supporting the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, and consultations related to development coordination.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data on development projects and initiatives to inform decision-making.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Facilitating communication between the General Secretariat and other UN agencies, ensuring alignment of objectives and strategies.
  • Monitoring progress of development initiatives and providing feedback to improve implementation processes.
  • Engaging with civil society organizations and other stakeholders to gather insights and foster collaboration.
  • Contributing to the development of strategic plans and frameworks for effective development coordination.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A solid understanding of development issues and the political landscape in Montenegro is essential. The ideal candidate should have experience in project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in using various software tools for data analysis and report writing is also required. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the principles of sustainable development and the mission of UNDP.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in international relations, public administration, development studies, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline would be an advantage. Experience:
The position requires at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in development coordination, project management, or a related field. Languages:
