Job Overview: The Master Data Management Specialist will be responsible for owning and managing the single source of truth for enterprise data, specifically focusing on master and reference data excellence using TIBCO EBX. This role is crucial in defining golden records, enabling strong data stewardship, and ensuring the seamless integration of trusted data across various platforms, including risk, trading, and analytics. The specialist will play a key role in maintaining data consistency, governance, and regulatory compliance within a complex banking environment. The position requires a proactive approach to data management, ensuring that all data-related initiatives align with the organization's governance frameworks and support operational transparency.
Duties and Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Master Data Management Specialist include:
Owning the single source of truth for master and reference data domains using TIBCO EBX, ensuring consistency and reusability across EBRD systems.
Defining golden records and master data domains, including customer, product, and hierarchy data.
Configuring workflows for approval, validation, and stewardship of data.
Integrating EBX-managed entities with downstream systems and analytics platforms.
Managing reference data versions, crosswalks, data mapping tables, and assessing change impacts.
Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to deliver data initiatives that align with governance frameworks.
Documenting master data management processes to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
Providing training and support on master data management tools to promote adoption and best practices.
Troubleshooting and optimizing EBX application configurations, including performance tuning and deployment support.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in managing master and reference data domains, with a focus on consistency, stewardship, and regulatory compliance within banking Data and Analytics teams. Proficiency in TIBCO EBX is essential, along with experience in defining golden records and configuring stewardship workflows. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of client, product, and hierarchy data management, as well as experience integrating master data with trading, risk, and analytics platforms. Familiarity with regulatory and operational data requirements in financial services is also required. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders are crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered. Candidates should have a solid educational foundation that supports their understanding of data management principles and practices, particularly in the context of banking and financial services.
Experience: The position requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in managing master and reference data domains, particularly within banking Data and Analytics teams. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with TIBCO EBX and experience in deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting EBX in a production environment. Experience in designing, developing, and supporting EBX custom REST APIs is also beneficial. Familiarity with data consistency and reusability principles in multi-platform environments is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly those relevant to the regions in which EBRD operates, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is a fixed-term contract with a duration of 3 years.
