Job Overview: This internship is designed for individuals who are either currently enrolled in or have recently completed a graduate or undergraduate program. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a range of duties that include: assisting in the preparation of the weekly newsletter and other communications; implementing activities aligned with the Building Our Pillar action plan; collecting, analyzing, and visualizing both quantitative and qualitative data; updating online platforms with information related to staff engagement activities; supporting change management initiatives; coordinating specific events; and performing other ad hoc duties as required by the Senior ProgrammeManagement Officer. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organizational culture is inclusive and innovative, and the intern will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact the UN's work.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required for this internship, candidates should have a field of study closely related to the internship. Additionally, applicants should possess good knowledge of standard software applications, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams. The ability to design surveys and polls is considered a desirable skill.
Educational Background: Candidates must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. program. Proof of enrollment or completion must be provided during the application process. The educational background should ideally be in a field relevant to the internship, such as international relations, communications, or organizational development.
Experience: While no prior professional work experience is required for this internship, candidates should demonstrate relevant academic experience or projects that align with the responsibilities of the internship.
