Job Overview:
The position involves enhancing the visual quality and storytelling of the Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards videos. The Online Volunteer will play a crucial role in increasing audience engagement and strengthening digital outreach by improving the visual appeal of the videos. This task is essential for raising global awareness of innovative actions that contribute to the SDGs. The volunteer will work closely with the Campaign team to edit and enhance five short video interviews featuring finalists and judges of the awards program, ensuring that the final products are engaging and aligned with the Campaign's branding guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this position include editing and enhancing short-form videos to make them more engaging and visually attractive. The volunteer will be tasked with adding graphic elements such as titles, captions, transitions, logos, and simple animations that adhere to the UN SDG Action Campaign branding guidelines. Additionally, the volunteer will improve the overall video flow, pacing, and clarity, ensuring consistency across all five videos in terms of style and presentation. The final deliverables will be polished videos in formats suitable for social media and digital platforms, effectively highlighting the voices and stories of the Heroes of Tomorrow finalists and judges.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of video editing software and techniques, with a keen eye for visual storytelling. Familiarity with graphic design principles and experience in creating engaging video content are essential. The ability to work collaboratively with a team and adhere to branding guidelines is also important. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required to ensure high-quality outputs.

Educational Background:
A background in film production, multimedia arts, graphic design, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in video editing and production will be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in video editing, preferably with a portfolio showcasing previous work. Experience in creating content for social media platforms is a plus, as it demonstrates an understanding of audience engagement strategies.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and editing tasks will be conducted in English. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
