Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Youth Project Manager of the Bordeaux/Poitiers Academy, the Animateur(trice) de Sensibilisation will participate in the development of the 'Course contre la Faim' initiative by conducting awareness sessions for a young audience. The role involves engaging with students in schools within the Poitiers, Bordeaux, and Limoges academies, representing Action contre la Faim in these educational institutions, contributing to the planning of activities, and supporting volunteers. The position is crucial for fostering awareness about hunger and humanitarian actions among youth, thereby encouraging their involvement in social causes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Animateur(trice) de Sensibilisation will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Conducting awareness sessions in schools to mobilize young audiences about the issues of hunger and humanitarian efforts.
  • Representing Action contre la Faim in educational settings, ensuring the organization's mission and values are communicated effectively.
  • Contributing to the planning and organization of activities related to the 'Course contre la Faim'.
  • Supporting and guiding volunteers involved in the initiative, ensuring they are well-prepared and informed.
  • Collaborating with educational staff to integrate awareness programs into school curricula.
  • Maintaining records of sessions conducted and feedback received to improve future initiatives.
  • Traveling frequently within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region to reach various schools and communities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bac +2/3 level qualification and have substantial experience in animation, with a BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur) being appreciated. Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with children and adolescents, are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to a young audience. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in humanitarian actions and possess organizational skills to manage schedules and tasks autonomously.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Bac +2/3 level qualification, which indicates a higher education degree in a relevant field such as education, social sciences, or a related discipline. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and effectively engaging with youth.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a good level of experience in animation, particularly in engaging with young audiences. Experience in educational settings or previous roles involving youth engagement and awareness-raising activities is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable with public speaking and have a proven track record of successfully managing group dynamics.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, as all sessions and communications will be conducted in French. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with diverse student populations.

This is a full-time position classified as Agent de maîtrise, offered on a fixed-term contract (CDD) for 2 months, concluding on 03/04/202
  • The role is based in Poitiers, with significant travel required throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The annual salary ranges from 30,000 to 34,000 euros gross, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave and 21 days of RTT (Réduction du Temps de Travail). Health coverage is provided, with 80% of costs covered by Action contre la Faim. Additional benefits include transport allowances covering 50% of commuting costs, meal vouchers with 60% coverage by the organization, and access to social services such as gift vouchers and cultural activity reimbursements. Remote work is permitted from metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events, which may occur up to three days per month.
