Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Youth Project Manager of the Lille/Amiens Academy, the Animateur(trice) de Sensibilisation will participate in the development of the Course against Hunger by conducting awareness sessions for a young audience. The role involves engaging with students in schools within the Lille and Amiens Academies, representing Action contre la Faim in these educational institutions, contributing to the planning of activities, and supporting volunteers. The position requires a proactive approach to mobilizing young people and fostering their understanding of humanitarian issues, particularly related to hunger and nutrition.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct awareness sessions in schools to educate and mobilize young audiences about the issues of hunger and humanitarian action.
  • Represent Action contre la Faim in educational settings, ensuring the organization's mission and values are effectively communicated.
  • Collaborate with the Youth Project Manager to plan and organize activities that engage students and promote participation in the Course against Hunger.
  • Support and guide volunteers involved in the awareness sessions, providing them with the necessary resources and training.
  • Maintain effective communication with schools and educational institutions to foster partnerships and enhance outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of awareness sessions, gathering feedback to improve future initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategy of Action contre la Faim in the region.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bac +2/3 level qualification and have substantial experience in facilitation or animation, with a BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur) being appreciated. Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with children and adolescents, are essential, along with the ability to adapt pedagogical approaches to suit a young audience. Candidates should be comfortable speaking in public and have a genuine interest in humanitarian actions. Organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules and time effectively are crucial for working autonomously in this role.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement of Bac +2/3 is necessary for this position, indicating a level of higher education that equips candidates with the foundational knowledge and skills required for effective engagement with young audiences and the execution of awareness programs.

Experience:
Candidates should have a good level of experience in animation or facilitation, ideally with a background in working with youth or in educational settings. Experience in humanitarian contexts or related fields will be considered an asset, as it aligns with the mission of Action contre la Faim.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as the role involves direct communication with French-speaking students and educational staff. Proficiency in English or other languages may be considered beneficial but is not required.

The position is classified as an Agent de maîtrise and is offered as a fixed-term contract (CDD) for 1.5 months (6 weeks), concluding on 10/04/202
  • It is a full-time role based in Lille, with significant travel expected within the Hauts-de-France region. The salary ranges from 30,000 to 34,000 euros gross annually, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days of paid leave per year, 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time), health coverage with 80% of costs covered by ACF, salary maintenance provisions during illness, maternity, or paternity leave, and transportation allowances covering 50% of commuting costs.
