Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting the post-production and editing of an onboarding video package for UNEP FI. This position is fully remote and involves working with raw footage provided by UNEP FI staff. The volunteer will be responsible for guiding staff on effective self-recording techniques to ensure high-quality source material, editing the footage into cohesive final videos, and integrating UNEP/UNEP FI branding and graphics. The final deliverables will include a main onboarding video, program lead videos, and an administration overview video, all aimed at enhancing the onboarding experience for new colleagues and contributing to the organization's capacity-building efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote guidance to UNEP FI staff on effective self-recording techniques, including framing, lighting, and audio quality, to ensure high-quality source material for video production.
  • Edit all raw footage into final, cohesive videos that align with UNEP FI's branding and messaging.
  • Integrate UNEP/UNEP FI branding elements, graphics, standard lower-thirds, and licensed/royalty-free background music into the videos.
  • Manage the review process for the videos, ensuring that all feedback is incorporated and that the final products meet organizational standards.
  • Produce final, optimized video files suitable for web and intranet use.
  • Deliver the completed, edited video package along with all associated files, including raw footage and final editable project files created in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance to staff on self-recording techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with branding and graphic integration in video content is preferred.
  • A passion for sustainability and understanding of the financial sector's role in advancing sustainable practices is a plus.

Educational Background:
A background in film production, video editing, communications, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in video editing and production techniques will be advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in video editing and production is essential. Candidates should have a portfolio showcasing their video editing work, particularly in creating onboarding or instructional videos. Experience working in a remote environment and collaborating with teams across different locations is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communication and video content will be in English. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, would be considered an asset but is not required.
