Job Overview:
The Associate Reintegration Officer position is crucial for supporting the reintegration of returnees and enhancing community-based protection and social cohesion in post-conflict settings. The incumbent will work closely with senior staff members to provide policy advice and technical support to refugees and returnees, ensuring their needs are met in a sustainable manner. This role involves direct engagement with the target population to assess their needs while considering age, gender, and diversity. The officer will collaborate with various UNHCR units to align the reintegration strategy with the organization's overall program components. The position requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by returnees and the ability to design and implement integrated reintegration programs that are context-sensitive and effective in addressing the unique needs of displaced communities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Reintegration Officer include staying informed about the local political, economic, and socio-cultural contexts that impact reintegration opportunities. The officer will participate in inter-agency programming processes, including joint needs assessments, to advocate for the inclusion of reintegration needs in national recovery plans. They will advise on activities to improve the socio-economic self-reliance of persons of concern and promote peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities. The officer will coordinate reintegration projects with various partners, including government offices and civil societies, and represent UNHCR in inter-agency coordination meetings. They will apply UNHCR policies and guidelines on durable solutions and peace-building when planning and implementing projects. The officer will also manage and analyze information related to reintegration situations, monitor durable solutions activities, and assist in resource mobilization by drafting project documents. Additionally, they will engage with government offices and partners to ensure the integration of UNHCR Persons of Concern into recovery policies and plans, and initiate measures to address issues identified through monitoring.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree, two years with a graduate degree, or one year with a doctorate degree. Candidates should have a background in fields such as Economics, Development Studies, Political Sciences, or Policy Studies. Essential qualifications include field experience in reintegration or local integration situations, and familiarity with peace-building initiatives and inter-agency collaboration is desirable. Educational Background:

Experience:
The role requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience for candidates with an undergraduate degree. Languages:
