Job Overview:
As a Référent Comptable programme, your primary objective is to control and support the accounting processes and closing work produced by our field operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures. You will work closely with field teams in the accounting domain, ensuring adherence to internal procedures both remotely and during missions. You will serve as the primary contact for Programs regarding accounting and tax issues, develop training materials and tools, and lead or participate in training sessions both at headquarters and directly in the field. Additionally, you will identify risks related to internal control and ensure the implementation of recommendations. Your role will also involve monthly reviews of the accounting transmitted by the field, overseeing the monthly reporting of Program accounts, verifying cash balances and internal transfers, and ensuring the justification of third-party accounts, among other responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will include:
  • Supporting field teams in accounting matters and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Acting as the primary contact for Programs on accounting and tax issues.
  • Developing training materials and leading training sessions at headquarters and in the field.
  • Identifying risks in internal control and implementing recommendations.
  • Conducting monthly reviews of accounting from the field.
  • Overseeing the monthly reporting of Program accounts.
  • Verifying cash balances and internal transfers.
  • Ensuring the justification of third-party accounts and monitoring partnerships.
  • Conducting consistency checks on accounting entries and labels in general accounting. 1
  • Performing controls on supporting documents and entries through sampling, and providing recommendations for improvements. 1
  • Recording accounting entries to support intervention programs. 1
  • Ensuring all accounting information is transmitted by the field and synchronized in the Accounting Information System. 1
  • Participating in cross-functional activities of the service and in closing work. 1
  • Justifying third-party accounts. 1
  • Controlling the reconciliation of partner client account balances with circularization certificates. 1
  • Reconciling bank balances with bank circularization certificates during the annual closing. 1
  • Verifying the consistency between logistical and accounting data regarding fixed assets. 1
  • Ensuring the accounting consistency of accrued expenses and prepaid expenses, and monitoring their realization. 1
  • Verifying the consistency of provisions allocated and reversed during the year. 2
  • Controlling and providing necessary documents for audits.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
  • A minimum of a Bac +3 in accounting.
  • Experience in accounting control or auditing is appreciated, but beginners are also accepted.
  • Mastery of the applicable accounting and legal framework.
  • Rigor and comfort with remote communication, as well as a preference for teamwork.
  • Strong skills in office software, particularly Excel, and comfort with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • A professional level of English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in professional Spanish is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a Bac +3 degree in accounting, which provides a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices necessary for the role.

Experience:
While experience in accounting control or auditing is preferred, it is not mandatory, and beginners are encouraged to apply. The organization values a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Languages:
A professional level of English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of professional Spanish is a plus and can enhance communication within the organization.

Additional Notes:
This is a fixed-term contract (CDD) for 18 months, starting as soon as possible. The position is classified as a cadre status with 34 paid leave days and 13 RTT days annually.
