Job Overview:
The Field Operations Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, specifically focusing on the Global Health security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (GHS) workplan. This position involves close collaboration with the rapid response team (RRT) to ensure effective delivery of GHS activities in designated priority regions. The officer will be responsible for technical implementation, operational coordination, and field oversight, ensuring that project activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with organizational and donor requirements. The role requires strong engagement with partners and stakeholders, as well as the ability to adapt to dynamic field conditions while maintaining compliance with safety protocols and project guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Operations Officer's responsibilities include providing technical and programmatic support for the planning and implementation of GHS technical areas in assigned regions. The officer will identify and execute technical strengthening activities, collaborate with project management to meet project needs, and liaise with regional and local partners to keep them informed about project updates. Additionally, the officer will oversee field team operations, manage logistics, procurement, and resource management, and contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts. The role also involves preparing project reports, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and managing risks associated with field operations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an excellent understanding of field operations, logistics, and administrative systems. They should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and operational risks in dynamic environments, as well as lead diverse field teams effectively. Strong coordination, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with sensitivity to cultural diversity and the ability to navigate political and ethical issues in the assigned areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and candidates should be capable of analyzing data and preparing reports.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in public health, nursing, social sciences, development studies, civil society, management, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding public health systems and emergency response protocols.

Experience:
Typically, candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in providing technical assistance and support, particularly in public health emergency response, outbreak operations, or rapid field deployment. Experience working with government counterparts at various levels, partner organizations, and community stakeholders is essential, with a preference for candidates who have previously engaged with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Languages:
While proficiency in English is mandatory, knowledge of local languages spoken in the Philippines may be advantageous for effective communication with community stakeholders and partners.
