Job Overview: The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator for Emergency Response will work under the supervision of the Emergency Operations and Preparation Referent. The primary role involves leading and coordinating all financial activities necessary to provide a rapid and quality emergency response during deployments. The position also entails contributing to the development of the finance sector in emergency response and ensuring financial oversight of the emergency unit. Responsibilities include defining the emergency response strategy, ensuring accurate accounting of emergency interventions and cash flows, supervising emergency finance teams, and coordinating partnerships both internally and externally. The role requires a proactive approach to prevent and manage fraud and corruption. At the headquarters, the responsibilities extend to finalizing and deploying all preparation and emergency response tools, as well as finance tools for opening country offices. The Finance Coordinator will also manage the finance team in the deployment country, although there is no team to manage at the headquarters. A key priority will be to contribute to the deployment of the emergency finance system, which is currently being finalized, across regions and country offices. Additionally, the coordinator will handle the financial aspects of project submissions for the emergency unit at the beginning of 2026 and ensure the proper financial closure of the year 202

Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to defining the emergency response strategy for the mission.
Ensure accurate accounting for emergency interventions and manage cash flows effectively.
Supervise emergency finance teams during deployments.
Coordinate internal and external partnerships related to emergency finance.
Prevent and manage instances of fraud and corruption.
Finalize and deploy all emergency preparation and response tools, including finance tools for opening country offices.
Contribute to the development of emergency finance tools and processes for opening country offices.
Manage the finance team in the deployment country, ensuring effective operations and communication. 1
Handle financial aspects of project submissions for the emergency unit and ensure proper financial closure for the previous year. 1
Adapt priorities based on emergency deployment needs.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a higher degree in financial management, complemented by experience in humanitarian intervention. Proven experience in finance coordination roles and/or in developing finance strategies is essential. Experience in opening new zones or countries is considered a plus. The candidate should demonstrate strong team management and written and oral communication skills throughout their professional experiences.
Educational Background: A higher degree in financial management or a related field is required for this position. This educational background should be complemented by relevant experiences in humanitarian contexts, particularly in finance roles.
Experience: Candidates should possess substantial experience in finance coordination, particularly within humanitarian settings. Experience in developing finance strategies and managing finance teams is crucial. Additionally, experience in opening new operational zones or countries will be advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in both English and French, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's profile for this role.

The role is based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), France, with a salary range of €41,000 to €50,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave and 21 RTT days. Health coverage and other benefits include 80% coverage by ACF, salary maintenance provisions for illness, maternity, and paternity, as well as transportation allowances covering 50% of the commuting costs. Meal vouchers are also provided, with 60% of the value covered by the organization. Telework is available for all employees within metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and integration days.
