The position also entails collaboration with the Grants Manager on proposal development processes and the completion of mandatory activities under NRC’s Project Cycle Management (PCM) framework. The Grants Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and high performance within the program team, ensuring that all activities align with NRC's strategic objectives and donor expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Coordinator will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: developing and maintaining an overview of all grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing internal and external deadlines. The role involves coordinating the development of donor applications and reports, ensuring quality control and compliance with donor regulations. The Grants Coordinator will document and analyze learning from proposal and reporting processes, contribute to improving internal grant management systems, and provide an internal helpdesk on donor-related issues. Additionally, the position requires organizing and delivering training sessions on donor rules and regulations, as well as proposal and report writing. The Grants Coordinator will prepare reports for donors, partners, and government entities, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met in a timely and quality manner. The role also includes maintaining program files, ensuring proper documentation of donor concept notes, proposals, contracts, and reports, and supporting external donor audits. The Grants Coordinator will represent NRC towards relevant partners and donors as delegated and promote the rights of IDPs and returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Grants Coordinator position must possess a relevant university degree or higher education, preferably in international relations, development studies, social sciences, or project management. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in grants management within the humanitarian sector is required. Candidates should have experience working with humanitarian and development donors, a basic understanding of donor rules and regulations, and skills in report and proposal writing. Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is also necessary for this role.
