Job Overview: The intern will be part of the Development and Communication department, which consists of 12 members, and will report directly to the marketing and regular donations campaign manager. The intern will provide administrative support and participate in the operational follow-up of marketing and fundraising campaigns, as well as donor relationship management. The role involves engaging with various teams to collect contextual and operational information, testimonials from beneficiaries, and visual materials for campaign briefs. The intern will also assist in the creation and proofreading of marketing materials, ensuring compliance with final versions of mailings, and supporting street marketing campaigns by visiting teams on-site to motivate them and verify messaging. Additionally, the intern will help with donor relations, particularly with major donations and legacies, by preparing thank-you communications and supporting the administrative follow-up of donor relations actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mailings for donor retention and prospecting (30%): Collaborate with field teams and the communication team to gather contextual and operational information, beneficiary testimonials, and visuals for agency briefs. Participate in the creation, proofreading, and correction of texts. Verify the final version of mailings for address accuracy, personalization, and URL/QR code compliance.
Street Marketing Campaigns (30%): Visit teams on-site to verify messaging and motivate staff. Communicate with service providers about updates in intervention countries and propose innovative content. Address any complaints from the donor relations service and monitor weekly results while checking cancellation requests before the first withdrawal. Ensure that recruiters have all necessary equipment for their missions in coordination with the logistics service.
Support for donor relations (20%): Assist in preparing and sending thank-you communications to major donors (letters and emails). Support the formatting and proofreading of communication materials related to legacies and donations (brochures, web content, internal documents, support vouchers). Participate in the administrative follow-up of certain donor relations actions.
Support for fundraising service (20%): Monitor online and offline materials from other sector actors, fundraising campaigns, and communication campaigns. Archive and sort materials, including monitoring mailings. Assist with service meetings by preparing agendas and minutes. Support in the context of calls for tenders, including administrative follow-up and sourcing in collaboration with purchasing. Assist in invoice recording.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a BAC +3 to BAC +4 level of education with a specialization in Marketing or Communication. A solid understanding of offline marketing techniques is essential, along with a strong interest in writing. The candidate should possess qualities such as rigor, autonomy, responsiveness, adaptability, patience, and good interpersonal and writing skills. An interest in the humanitarian or associative sector is also important. Additionally, a basic understanding of English is considered a plus.
Educational Background: Candidates should have completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree (BAC +3) in Marketing, Communication, or a related field. A higher level of education (BAC +4) is preferred, particularly with a focus on marketing or communication disciplines.
Experience: The position is intended for interns, so prior professional experience is not strictly required. However, any relevant experience in marketing, fundraising, or communication, particularly in a humanitarian context, would be advantageous and could enhance the candidate's application.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, as the role involves significant communication in French. A basic understanding of English is considered a plus, as it may facilitate communication with international teams and resources.
Additional Notes: This internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. There is a possibility of partial remote work. The internship is compensated at a rate of 5.60 euros per hour. Public transport costs are covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL. Additionally, interns receive meal vouchers worth 8.90 euros per day of actual presence, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60% of the cost.
