Job Overview: The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the project 'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market' in the Region of North Aegean. This position requires close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to promote the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into Greek society. The successful candidate will oversee the project team, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of tasks, while also managing the project's helpline and administrative tasks. The role demands a proactive approach to developing methodologies, monitoring tools, and standard operating procedures to ensure effective project implementation. The Project Coordinator will also support senior management in budget monitoring and reporting, contributing to the overall success of the project and its objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the assigned project team, ensuring smooth coordination and timely delivery of tasks. Key responsibilities include:
Managing the project’s helpline, ensuring accurate and quality messaging to beneficiaries.
Developing monitoring tools and organizing the work of helpline team members.
Performing general administrative tasks to support project implementation in alignment with organizational procedures.
Creating methodologies, tools, materials, and standard operating procedures for project administration.
Coordinating the flow of working documents and project deliverables with project component coordinators.
Assisting senior management in monitoring the project budget and preparing necessary reports for budget preparations and audits.
Collecting, verifying, and maintaining project data and Means of Verification, as well as updating the project archive.
Performing additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school degree/certificate with three years of relevant work experience, or a university degree in finance, management, business administration, public administration, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of one year of work experience. A master’s degree in the aforementioned fields will be considered an advantage. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong computer literacy in standard software applications, possess a valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience, and exhibit a strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes either a high school diploma with three years of relevant experience or a university degree in a relevant field such as finance, management, business administration, or public administration. Candidates with a master’s degree in these fields will have an advantage. It is important that the educational qualifications are from accredited institutions recognized by the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience: The position requires at least one year of previous work experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse teams and adapt to various cultural contexts. Experience in project management or coordination roles will be beneficial, as well as familiarity with administrative procedures and budget monitoring.
Languages: Fluency in English and Greek is mandatory for this position, both oral and written. Proficiency in additional languages such as French or Spanish, which are IOM's official languages, is considered a plus. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments to ensure candidates meet the communication requirements of the role.
