Job Overview:
The Analyst position at EBRD is integral to the project cycle, encompassing project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. The Analyst will be tasked with various responsibilities under the guidance of the operation leader or senior bankers, which include conducting comprehensive due diligence, ensuring compliance with EBRD policies, and facilitating effective post-signing implementation. The role requires a proactive approach to project management, where the Analyst will contribute to research, risk analysis, financial modeling, and communication with stakeholders. This position is designed to allow the Analyst to progressively take on more complex tasks, thereby enhancing their expertise and responsibilities over time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will work closely with the operation leader and senior bankers on various transactions, contributing to project structuring and execution. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough research and analysis of market information and financial performance data, evaluating potential risks associated with projects, and preparing financial models and projections. The Analyst will also assist in designing technical cooperation assistance, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. Additionally, the Analyst will monitor project implementation, compliance with agreements, and financial performance, preparing draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork and effective communication with internal units, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and design financial models. Proficiency in credit analysis, understanding of accounting principles, and computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and financial modeling software, are critical. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is necessary, along with good written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of the local language is an advantage.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, as it provides a deeper understanding of the financial and economic principles necessary for the role. Additional professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly regarded and can enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
Relevant experience in the financial industry is essential, ideally from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm that operates to international standards. Candidates should have exposure to industry or country-specific experience, which will aid in understanding the market dynamics and regulatory environment in which EBRD operates.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Proficiency in the local language is considered an advantage, as it facilitates better communication with local stakeholders and clients.
