Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst (SRHR) position is critical for managing and implementing cervical cancer prevention initiatives, particularly focusing on HPV vaccination in Vietnam. This role involves coordinating activities funded by Gavi and MSD, ensuring compliance with governmental and UNFPA regulations. The Analyst will engage in data analysis, advocacy, and policy development to support the introduction and rollout of HPV vaccination programs. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society, and international partners, to enhance the effectiveness of cervical cancer prevention strategies. The Analyst will also contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring that project activities align with national health priorities and UNFPA's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Analyst will be responsible for the daily management of the HPV vaccination project, ensuring timely coordination and adherence to regulations. Key responsibilities include analyzing the political, social, and economic contexts relevant to cervical cancer prevention, preparing policy briefs, providing technical support for project activities, and monitoring progress through comprehensive reporting. The Analyst will also support communication efforts by drafting key messages and preparing for media engagements. Additionally, the role involves mobilizing resources for project sustainability, collaborating with UN agencies and stakeholders, and contributing to advocacy strategies for sexual and reproductive health. Other tasks may be assigned by the Country Office Management to support broader objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in medicine, public health, or a related field focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights. A minimum of two years of professional experience in cervical cancer prevention, particularly in HPV vaccination and early screening programs, is required. Applicants should have a solid understanding of global and national policies regarding cervical cancer prevention and experience in advocacy and policy development. Demonstrated skills in project design, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as training delivery on sexual and reproductive health topics, are essential. Experience working with government health departments, civil society, and UN agencies is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in medicine, public health, or a closely related field is required for this position. This educational background should provide a strong foundation in sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly in relation to cervical cancer prevention and HPV vaccination.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of intensive professional experience in cervical cancer prevention, including the development and management of HPV vaccination programs. Candidates should have a good understanding of both global and national policies related to cervical cancer and experience in advocacy and policy development. Experience in project design, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as training delivery for health providers, is also necessary.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, but the primary requirement is strong communication skills in these two languages to effectively engage with stakeholders and contribute to advocacy efforts.
