Job Overview:
The position of Cook/Dishwasher at the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is designed for individuals who are willing to serve on a short-term basis. The selected candidate will assist the office canteen workers in their daily operations, ensuring that meals are prepared and served efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the office's dining services, which cater to staff and visiting officials. The Cook/Dishwasher will be responsible for meal preparation according to a daily menu, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and managing food supplies. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cook/Dishwasher will have a variety of responsibilities, including: assisting in the preparation of lunch according to the daily menu and serving meals in the office canteen five times a week; keeping accurate records of food supplies and household items in the kitchen; serving refreshments and meals to visiting officials; cleaning kitchen utensils daily, including washing and drying crockery and cutlery after each meal; disposing of food waste and packaging daily, with incineration of accumulated waste at least once a week; cleaning the office canteen area and disinfecting the kitchen weekly, along with conducting a deep clean once a month; and performing any other duties as required by the National Building Maintenance Officer.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of primary education and at least two years of relevant work experience in dishwashing, cooking, and serving in a canteen setting. They should have cleaning and cooking skills, along with knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning materials. A team-oriented mindset with good communication skills is essential. Candidates must demonstrate gender awareness and sensitivity, and the ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is minimal, with primary education being the only mandatory qualification. However, practical experience in a kitchen environment is highly valued, and candidates should be able to demonstrate their skills through previous work experience.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of working experience in a similar role, specifically in dishwashing, cooking, and serving within a canteen or similar setting. This experience should include familiarity with kitchen operations and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is offered on a short-term basis under a local contracted grade of G1, with full-time hours. The monthly remuneration is set at 444.08 EUR, subject to social security deductions, and includes participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme. Candidates should note that appointments are typically made at Step 1 of the OSCE salary scale, with the possibility of higher initial appointments in exceptional cases.
