Job Overview: The Sr. Treasury Associate position is a critical role within the Manila Financial Services team, reporting directly to the Chief of Manila Financial Services and under the supervision of the Head of Manila Financial Review Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of treasury functions, including payment processing, liquidity management, and compliance control. This role requires a high level of coordination with various departments, including Human Resources and Central Accounting Support, to ensure the smooth operation of financial services. The Sr. Treasury Associate will also be involved in maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting, ensuring compliance with IOM's financial regulations and standards. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Sr. Treasury Associate include executing payment runs in the Wave (Oracle) system, monitoring Fincoorp tickets for proof of payments, and manually processing payroll payments. The associate will also be responsible for monitoring incoming funds on HQ bank accounts and preparing accounting entries for foreign exchange and mission funding requests. Additionally, the role involves back office functions for HQ in the Treasury Management Software, including bonds recording and updating amortized cost calculations. The associate will control manual mission payment requests to ensure compliance with IOM rules and assist in monitoring compliance request cases from CITI bank. Furthermore, the Sr. Treasury Associate will maintain the bank master data, coordinate with the WAVE Central Support Team, and validate newly created accounts. The position also requires coordination with other departments for retirees' health insurance premiums and bank reconciliations, as well as managing the MTS mailbox and maintaining business relationships with banking partners.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, candidates with a completed high school degree in the same fields and six years of relevant experience will also be considered. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities, are required. Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is considered an advantage.
