Job Overview:
The Assistant(e) People & Culture plays a crucial role in providing quality assistance in the administrative management of personnel and the application of human resources procedures at FHI360 Senegal. This position involves maintaining up-to-date personnel files, supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, coordinating training logistics, and participating in payroll and benefits management. The Assistant(e) ensures high-quality customer service to staff and contributes to compliance with HR policies and procedures as well as local labor regulations. The role is essential for fostering a supportive work environment and enhancing employee engagement within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant(e) People & Culture is responsible for providing support to employees and HR staff across various functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, payroll, HRIS, training, and development. Key responsibilities include maintaining both physical and electronic employee records in the HRIS, entering employee personal data into the HR database, generating HR reports, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding personal information, processing various forms related to HR activities such as hiring, status changes, performance evaluations, benefits, and terminations. The role also involves organizing orientation sessions for new employees and, when necessary, providing support for employees. Additionally, the Assistant(e) coordinates interviews and may update recruitment system files, along with performing other assigned tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (BAC+4) in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Administrative Management, or a related field. A solid understanding of Senegalese labor law is essential. Previous experience in providing administrative support in a similar role is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in international non-governmental organizations funded by the U.S. government. Strong communication skills and report writing abilities are necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and HRIS/Payroll systems.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BAC+4) in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Administrative Management, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of human resource management and the legal frameworks governing employment in Senegal.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have between 1 to 3 years of experience in providing administrative support to staff. This experience should ideally be within a context that involves human resources functions, demonstrating the ability to manage personnel-related tasks effectively and efficiently.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and a good command of English is also required. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
