Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Helios+ project, which aims to facilitate the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in Greece, particularly in the Thessaly region. This position involves close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to implement comprehensive actions that support beneficiaries of international protection. The successful candidate will oversee project activities, ensuring quality service delivery and effective monitoring. The role requires strong leadership skills to guide the project team, develop methodologies, and create tools and materials necessary for project implementation. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for data collection, reporting, and representing the project in various meetings with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will supervise and provide guidance to direct reports, ensuring that project activities are executed effectively. Key responsibilities include developing methodologies and standard operating procedures, monitoring the quality of services provided by the project team and implementing partners, and ensuring timely communication and collaboration with all stakeholders. The coordinator will assess project needs, report to senior management, and participate in drafting reports for donors. Additionally, the role involves physical verification of project activities, ensuring compliance with project goals, and representing the project in relevant meetings. The Project Coordinator will also be tasked with continuous improvement of project activities based on feedback and assessments.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a combination of knowledge, education, training, and experience relevant to the position. A strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles are essential. The role requires computer literacy in standard software applications and a valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience being an advantage. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and possess strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among diverse groups.

Educational Background:
A High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of relevant working experience is required, or a University degree in fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, or public administration, with at least two years of work experience. A Master’s degree in these fields will be considered an advantage. Candidates must have graduated from accredited institutions recognized by the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
At least two years of previous work experience is required, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. Experience in project management, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts, is highly desirable. The candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing projects and leading teams, as well as experience in monitoring and evaluation processes.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek is required for this position, both oral and written. Knowledge of IOM’s official languages, which include French and Spanish, is considered an asset. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments to ensure candidates meet the necessary communication standards.

Additional Notes:
This position is subject to local recruitment, meaning only candidates with a valid residence and work permit for Greece will be considered. The appointment will be contingent upon medical fitness certification and verification of residency and work authorization. The selection process may also be used to fill similar positions in various duty stations, and recommended candidates will remain eligible for appointment in similar roles for a period of 24 months.
