Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Helios+ project, which aims to facilitate the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in Greece, specifically in the Region of Thessaly. This position requires close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to ensure the successful implementation of project activities. The coordinator will be responsible for developing methodologies, creating tools and materials, and overseeing the quality of services provided by the project team and implementing partners. The role also involves monitoring project activities, ensuring timely reporting, and representing the project in meetings with stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to the humanitarian principles that guide IOM's work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will supervise and provide guidance to direct reports, ensuring that project activities are executed effectively. Key responsibilities include developing methodologies and standard operating procedures, monitoring the quality of services provided, collaborating with other project components and departments, and ensuring efficient communication with implementing partners. The coordinator will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, submitting reports to senior management, and representing the project in relevant meetings. Additional duties may include drafting reports for donors and participating in decision-making processes to ensure informed project management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a combination of knowledge, education, training, and experience relevant to the position. A strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles are essential. A valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience is considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and possess strong computer literacy in standard software applications. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a High School Diploma accompanied by at least four years of relevant working experience. Alternatively, candidates may hold a University degree in fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, or public administration, with a minimum of two years of work experience. A Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields will be considered an advantage. It is important that the educational qualifications are from accredited institutions recognized by the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of previous work experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. Experience in project management, particularly in the context of migration or integration projects, is highly desirable. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage project activities effectively is crucial for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek, both oral and written, is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly IOM's official languages such as French and Spanish, is considered a valuable asset. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments to ensure candidates meet the necessary communication standards.
