Job Overview: The Protection Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the Protection from Violence (PfV) program in the East area of Ukraine. Key responsibilities include developing annual activity and work plans, managing project budgets, and contributing to the rollout of Civilian Self-Protection activities. The manager will supervise and mentor the project team on Protection Case Management and Individual Protection Assistance, ensuring compliance with NRC standards. Participation in Project Review Meetings and organizing project reviews for the PfV team will be essential, as will facilitating community participatory processes such as assessments and workshops. The manager will also provide input for internal and external reporting, represent NRC in relevant sectoral coordination meetings, and ensure the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities. Additionally, the role involves establishing referral mechanisms and developing standard operating procedures for case tracking, while promoting the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a relevant university degree and have at least three years of field experience as a Protection Project Manager in complex emergencies. The role requires expertise in project cycle management, risk management, staff management, and grants and budgets management. Experience in logistics and administration management is also necessary, along with a proven track record in coordination and advocacy work. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as is fluency in English. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
