Job Overview: The Governance & Process Specialist position is part of the SPINCO team within MSF International, which is responsible for delivering solutions that act as the central source of trusted product information. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of information within the systems that support product management across the MSF movement. The SPINCO team is currently engaged in a significant project aimed at modernizing the master data ecosystem, which includes migrating the user interface to a new platform, improving data quality and structure, and optimizing business workflows. The Governance & Process Specialist will play a key role in enhancing engagement and communication with stakeholders, addressing regulatory and organizational requirements, and documenting business processes to support the SPINCO ecosystem. This position requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to new processes, ultimately contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of MSF's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Governance & Process Specialist will have a wide range of responsibilities, including leading change initiatives related to governance, designing and implementing product and data governance structures, and establishing clear roles and decision-making processes. They will document, review, and suggest improvements for workflows and processes across SPINCO, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. The specialist will also engage with stakeholders to understand their concerns and requirements, facilitating effective communication and training to ensure smooth adoption of governance policies and workflows. Additionally, they will prepare reports on governance performance and workflow efficiency, proposing metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Governance & Process Specialist position should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks. They should have experience in project management and stakeholder engagement, as well as a deep understanding of compliance and risk management practices. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with diverse teams and presenting findings to leadership. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges is also crucial for success in this position.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline is required. Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in governance, process improvement, or project management, preferably within a humanitarian or international organization. Experience working with data management systems and understanding of supply chain processes will be beneficial. Familiarity with MSF's operational context and challenges is a plus, as it will enable the candidate to navigate the complexities of the organization more effectively.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within MSF International. Proficiency in French is highly desirable, given the organization's operations in French-speaking countries.
