Job Overview:
The Human Resources Manager position at PSI's Regional Office in Kenya is a strategic and operational role that requires an experienced professional to lead HR initiatives. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR policies, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. This role involves partnering with leadership and HR Network teams to strengthen organizational culture and build workforce capacity. The HR Manager will also play a crucial role in supporting organizational change initiatives and enhancing leadership capabilities through targeted training and guidance. The position requires a hybrid work model, with a minimum of three days on-site each week, and is focused on creating a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with PSI's values.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Manager will support the development and implementation of HR strategies for the assigned office(s), advising management on staffing, employee relations, and organizational development. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring transparent and equitable hiring practices, overseeing HR administration, maintaining HR information systems, coordinating performance management cycles, and fostering a positive work environment. The HR Manager will also manage employee relations issues, lead staff engagement initiatives, and supervise team members, making recommendations concerning employment actions and enhancing individual employee performance through effective communication and support. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field and have at least 7 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to apply best-practice HR approaches, collaborate with local legal counsel, and navigate complex HR-related legal matters. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and support constructive conflict resolution. A solid knowledge of labor laws and international HR best practices is required, with experience in Host Country Agreement frameworks preferred.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Candidates with international equivalents of these degrees will also be considered. The educational background should provide a strong foundation in HR principles and practices, as well as an understanding of organizational behavior and management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience in human resources, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality HR services in fast-paced environments and experience in managing HR processes within complex organizational structures. Familiarity with local labor laws and HR best practices is essential, as is the ability to support HR functions in a diverse and dynamic workplace.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as strong communication skills are crucial for this role. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the populations served by PSI.

This position is classified as hybrid, requiring on-site work a minimum of three days per week. The role is full-time and does not offer visa sponsorship for candidates.
