Job Overview:
The position of Consultor de Patrocinios at UNICEF Colombia is aimed at implementing sales mechanisms that contribute to the Sponsorship Plan, supporting the sponsorship needs of events organized by UNICEF Colombia. The consultant will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential partners and initiatives to generate new corporate sponsorship opportunities, in line with UNICEF's guidelines and approvals. The role involves prospecting potential corporate sponsors, negotiating and closing new sponsorship agreements, and maintaining relationships with previous sponsors to ensure their participation in future events. The consultant will also facilitate the connection between UNICEF and each sponsor for every event, ensuring the correct execution of the acquired sponsorship plans. Additionally, the consultant will propose ideas and opportunities to strengthen UNICEF's Corporate Sponsorship Plan and work collaboratively with Corporate and Marketing Services to meet the established KPIs for each event.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement sales mechanisms that contribute to the Sponsorship Plan for UNICEF Colombia events.
  • Identify and analyze potential partners and initiatives for new corporate sponsorship opportunities.
  • Prospect potential corporate sponsors and negotiate new sponsorship agreements.
  • Maintain relationships with previous sponsors to ensure their continued support for future events.
  • Facilitate the connection between UNICEF and each sponsor for every event, ensuring the execution of sponsorship plans.
  • Lead all tasks related to sponsors, including communication and coordination.
  • Propose ideas to enhance the Corporate Sponsorship Plan.
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Marketing Services to achieve KPIs for events.
  • Develop or adapt proposals according to sponsors' expectations and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in administrative sciences, economics, marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial management, preferably in event marketing, advertising, or media focused on B2B or high-value segments.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in closing sponsorship deals.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and corporate social responsibility is a plus.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a professional degree in fields such as administrative sciences, economics, marketing, advertising, or communications. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of sponsorship and fundraising in a non-profit context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial management, particularly in areas related to event marketing, advertising, or media that target businesses or high-value segments. This experience is crucial for effectively managing sponsorship relationships and achieving fundraising goals.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, given the local context of the position. Proficiency in English is considered a valuable asset, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is a consultancy role, and individuals hired under this contract will not be considered 'staff members' under the United Nations Staff Regulations and Rules. They will not be entitled to benefits such as leave or medical insurance coverage. The terms of service will be governed by the contract and the General Conditions of Contract for Individual Consultants and Contractors. Consultants are responsible for determining their tax obligations and paying taxes in accordance with local laws.
