Job Overview:
The Consultant for Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization will play a crucial role in developing and managing UN Women’s strategic partnerships within the Egypt Country Office (ECO). This position involves designing and implementing a partnership strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. The consultant will be responsible for setting annual priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, providing technical input to senior management, and advising on effective advocacy strategies. The role also includes managing resource mobilization strategies, building trust with donors, and ensuring the effective implementation of initiatives that attract funding. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance UN Women’s stature as a preferred partner for advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in Egypt.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage UN Women’s strategic partnerships for ECO by designing and supporting the implementation of a partnership strategy, monitoring annual priorities, and providing technical input to senior management.
  • Manage and facilitate the implementation of resource mobilization strategies, including developing donor fundraising strategies and targeted initiatives to attract funding.
  • Build trust and maintain effective relationships with donors, providing technical support for meetings and consultations, and identifying opportunities for securing additional resources.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office, ensuring that all activities align with UN Women’s mission and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as economics, business management, social sciences, or international relations. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates should have at least 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in research, donor relations, resource mobilization, or business development, with a solid understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment issues. Experience working with the UN System or other international organizations is also required, along with excellent analytical skills and a strong drive for results.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, or women's studies is required. A first-level university degree may be accepted with additional qualifying experience.

Experience:
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as research, donor relations, resource mobilization, and business development is required. Candidates should have experience working with the UN System or similar international organizations, demonstrating a solid understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment issues, particularly in the Arab States region or Egypt.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional UN official languages, such as French, is considered an asset.

This consultancy is hybrid (home/office) based, with no travel required as part of the assignment.
