Job Overview: The GBV Programme Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing the impact of gender-based violence (GBV) interventions in Myanmar, particularly in humanitarian settings. The officer will work closely with various stakeholders, including UNFPA field offices, implementing partners, and local communities, to ensure the quality implementation and rigorous monitoring of GBV interventions. Duties and Responsibilities: The GBV Programme Officer will undertake a variety of tasks, including:
Providing technical assistance to ensure adherence to GBV guiding principles across all UNFPA-supported interventions.
Collaborating with GBV Programme Analysts to support implementing partners in delivering high-quality GBV case management services.
Ensuring compliance with IASC GBV Case Management Guidelines at all service delivery points.
Conducting regular supervision and case reviews with technical staff of implementing partners.
Integrating GBV, SRH, and MHPSS services effectively within the program framework.
Facilitating capacity-building initiatives for implementing partners and ensuring alignment with inter-agency guidelines.
Conducting assessments of current GBV interventions to ensure quality programming.
Collaborating with IP focal points to plan and conduct safety audits and focus group discussions with beneficiaries.
Preparing donor reports and internal situation reports to keep stakeholders informed. 1
Representing UNFPA in key technical coordination bodies and actively participating in MHPSS coordination structures. 1
Monitoring and evaluating the implementation status of GBV programs and preparing periodic reports. 1
Collating and drafting good practices and human interest stories related to GBV programming.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the GBV Programme Officer position should possess the following qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of progressive humanitarian experience, particularly in program management.
Experience in conducting training or facilitating capacity-building initiatives.
Demonstrated knowledge of protection concerns in humanitarian settings and the ability to implement context-specific prevention and response actions.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders is crucial, as is the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Myanmar languages is mandatory for this position. Additionally, fluency in other ethnic languages such as Shan, Karen, Kachin, or Rohingya is considered an asset, as it enhances communication and engagement with diverse communities in Myanmar.
Additional Notes: This consultancy assignment is full-time for a duration of 11 months, commencing on the contract start date.
