Job Overview: The Analyst position at EBRD is integral to the success of various projects within the organization. The Analyst will be involved in all phases of the project cycle, which includes project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. This role requires a proactive approach to managing tasks assigned by the operation leader or senior bankers, which may involve conducting comprehensive due diligence, ensuring compliance with EBRD policies, and facilitating effective post-signing implementation and monitoring. The Analyst will work collaboratively within a project team, gaining valuable experience and progressively taking on more complex responsibilities as they develop their expertise in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks under the guidance of the operation leader or a more senior banker. Key responsibilities include:
Structuring and Execution: Collaborating with the project team on transactions, conducting thorough research and analysis of relevant materials, evaluating potential risks, and preparing financial models and projections.
Technical Cooperation Assistance: Assisting in the design and processing of technical cooperation assistance, including preparing terms of reference and internal documentation.
Communication: Facilitating communication with internal units, clients, and stakeholders by preparing draft correspondence and presentations.
Portfolio Monitoring: Undertaking tasks related to project implementation and monitoring, ensuring compliance with agreements and Bank procedures, and preparing monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Continuous Learning: Engaging in tasks that allow for the development of skills and knowledge, progressively taking on more complex responsibilities as experience is gained.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and design financial models. Candidates should have credit analysis skills, a good understanding of accounting principles, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software. Effective teamwork, time management, and communication skills in English are also required, with proficiency in the Kyrgyz language considered an advantage.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred, as it provides a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in financial analysis and project management. Additional professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly regarded and can enhance a candidate's profile.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the financial industry, which may include working in investment or commercial banks, private equity firms, asset management firms, or auditing and financial consulting firms that adhere to international standards. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization.
