Job Overview: The Analyst, Immunization role is a critical position within the Immunization Programme at WJCF, which is affiliated with CHAI. The Analyst will provide analytical and programmatic support to enhance immunization outcomes in Bihar, India. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Analyst will be responsible for delivering insights from various immunization and public health databases, supporting the implementation of routine immunization programs, and engaging with stakeholders to foster informed decision-making. The role involves working closely with the Program Manager and requires flexibility, independence, and a commitment to excellence. The Analyst will also be involved in developing reports and presentations for donors, conducting data analytics, and supporting program monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will support the Immunization team in several key areas: implementing the routine immunization program by strengthening management, governance, service delivery, and supply chain aspects; providing insights to program leadership for policy and strategy decisions; developing high-impact reports and presentations for donors; building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders; conducting data analytics and creating dashboards for program review; coordinating program monitoring and evaluation; documenting program progress through various reports and presentations; and traveling to project locations as needed. The Analyst will also undertake additional programmatic activities as requested by program leadership, ensuring that the immunization program meets its goals and objectives effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in public health, management, economics, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research, or related fields. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a results-driven environment is required, preferably in public sector, consulting, investment banking, pharma, or insurance analytics. Project management experience for medium to large-scale analytics projects is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), PowerBI, QGIS, STATA, and other analytical tools is essential. Candidates should have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive presentations and written reports. An entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment are also important.
Educational Background: The position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as public health, management, economics, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research, or allied areas. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of public health and the analytical skills needed for the role.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a results-driven environment. Experience in public sector roles, consulting, investment banking, pharma, or insurance analytics is highly desirable. Prior project management experience, particularly in medium to large-scale analytics projects, is preferred to ensure the candidate can effectively contribute to the Immunization Programme.
Languages: Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with stakeholders and team members is essential. Familiarity with government databases, especially HMIS and NFHS, is preferred, as is experience in developing user-centric tools to support decision-making.
