Job Overview: As a member of the Management, Strategy, and Financing team, the Global Associate will collaborate closely with Malaria Elimination Leadership on high-priority projects across various programs and geographies. The role involves using advanced planning techniques to assist governments in 20 countries in reducing malaria cases and deaths. The Associate will support CHAI’s strategic and analytical work aimed at strengthening health systems and optimizing investments in malaria and other health initiatives. This includes developing methodologies and tools for resource allocation, conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, and supporting country teams in translating evidence into actionable plans. The position requires a commitment to solving complex problems and contributing to a positive work environment, with a focus on maximizing the impact of health resources.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Global Associate will be responsible for conducting quantitative analyses to inform strategic planning and resource allocation for malaria and broader health system investments. Key duties include contributing to the development of methodologies and frameworks that enhance national planning processes, supporting teams in interpreting evidence for actionable recommendations, and developing global training materials and technical guidance. The Associate will also create Excel-based budget and cost models, develop funding proposals to mobilize resources, and build relationships with stakeholders across various sectors. Additionally, the role may involve travel to remote regions and other responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications: Essential qualifications for this position include professional-level fluency in English, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Policy, Public Health, International Development, or a related field, and at least 2 years of relevant work experience with increasing responsibility. Candidates should demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. The ability to manage multiple work streams, set priorities, and work independently in high-pressure situations is crucial. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a multicultural environment are also required, along with a willingness to travel frequently.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Policy, Public Health, or International Development. A Master's degree in one of these areas is considered an advantage, as it may provide additional insights and skills relevant to the role.
Experience: The position requires at least 2 years of working experience in management consulting, public health financing, or a related field. Candidates should have a track record of increasing responsibility and leadership in their previous roles, demonstrating their capability to handle complex projects and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Additional Notes: This position is flexible in terms of location, with the base identified as the USA but also open to Canada or any CHAI program country, pending approval.
