Job Overview: The Manager, Corporate Business Solutions will play a pivotal role in leading the World Bank Group’s core corporate business systems. This position requires a strategic vision and product leadership to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient operations while driving process efficiency and systems integration. The Manager will collaborate closely with the Director and other Managers within the WBG Corporate Solutions department to align business transformation priorities with product and systems development. The role encompasses overseeing critical corporate business processes and functions, ensuring that the technology systems supporting these processes are efficient, accurate, and resilient. The Manager will also be responsible for fostering innovation and continuous improvement within the unit, leveraging modern technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and support the WBG's mission.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
Leadership & Strategic Planning: Setting the strategic direction for the unit’s product and technology investments, creating product roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with WBG's business goals.
Delivery, Efficiency, & Continuous Improvement: Overseeing the delivery and optimization of mission-critical systems, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while measuring reliability and value.
People Management & Culture Leadership: Leading a high-performing, globally distributed team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Proactively assessing and mitigating risks related to availability, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and compliance, ensuring successful audit compliance.
Innovation: Driving the adoption of new digital capabilities, including automation and AI, to enhance efficiency and impact across the portfolio.
Collaboration: Partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to co-create investment priorities and roadmaps, ensuring strong governance and alignment with business objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related disciplines with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience. Certification in Agile methodologies is required, with a preference for SAFe Agilist or similar qualifications. Additional certifications in Digital Transformation, Application Delivery, Technology Management, and other relevant areas are desirable. Candidates should have extensive experience in ERP management, solution architecture, and application delivery for enterprise-scale business systems, demonstrating a strong ability to define and execute roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
Educational Background: A master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields is required. Post-graduate coursework in digital technology, information technology, innovation, or business management is preferred. Candidates should also have certifications in Agile methodologies and other relevant industry certifications.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in ERP management, solution architecture, and application delivery for enterprise-scale business systems. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing risk, business continuity, security, and compliance for critical business systems, ensuring efficient operations and successful audits.
