Job Overview:
The IT Officer, Business Solutions I (Associate Experience Design Officer) position at the World Bank involves a critical role in enhancing the user experience of digital platforms utilized by frontline staff across various projects. The officer will be responsible for conducting user research, defining research strategies, and engaging with end-users to gather insights that inform the design and development of AI-powered business solutions. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IT Officer include defining research plans that align with product roadmaps, selecting appropriate research methods, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and conducting usability studies. The officer will be tasked with recruiting participants for research, analyzing workflows, and identifying pain points. Additionally, the officer will prototype AI features, ensuring that user trust and explainability are prioritized. The role also involves creating design artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and wireframes, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. The officer will track the adoption and success rates of features, present findings to stakeholders, and facilitate workshops to align on design decisions. Deliverables will include user research roadmaps, usability analysis reports, and executive summaries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Arts, Computer Science, or a related STEM field with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 8 years of experience in UX research and product design collaboration. A degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, with an advanced degree being a plus. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, experience with AI-assisted design tools, and familiarity with workflow analysis and service mapping are essential. Strong storytelling skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Arts, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and significant experience in UX research and design will also be considered. Specialized knowledge in HCI, Cognitive Science, or Psychology is advantageous, and an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or at least 8 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience should encompass UX research, product design collaboration, and the application of AI-assisted tools in enterprise environments. Demonstrated impact on shipped features or products is essential, along with hands-on familiarity with AI-powered products and human-AI interaction research.

Languages:
