Job Overview: The position involves providing technical support for the formulation of a project proposal to be submitted to the International Climate Initiative (IKI) for its 2026 Large Grants Call. The role requires a thorough understanding of the IKI's specific call and related documents, as well as key policies and strategies regarding bioeconomy in Colombia. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive review of the IKI call and related documents, as well as key policies, programs, and strategies regarding bioeconomy in Colombia. Document findings in an analytical matrix.
Identify and analyze key stakeholders for the proposal development in accordance with the IKI call requirements, documenting results in a stakeholder analysis matrix.
Collaborate in formulating the results matrix for the project outline phase, ensuring the incorporation of transversal approaches.
Support the preparation of written inputs for specific sections of the IKI form that require technically coherent and robust development, focusing on integrated bioeconomy approaches.
Participate in coordination and follow-up meetings with IOM staff leading the proposal development.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in project development, particularly in the context of climate initiatives and bioeconomy. They should demonstrate analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and experience in proposal writing for international funding. Familiarity with the IKI's objectives and requirements is essential, along with a solid understanding of environmental policies in Colombia.
Educational Background: A degree in environmental science, sustainable development, economics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in climate change, bioeconomy, or project management will be considered an asset.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in project development, particularly in the areas of climate change, environmental policy, or sustainable development. Experience working with international organizations or in a similar context will be highly regarded.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position requires extensive communication and documentation in Spanish. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for engaging with international stakeholders and reviewing documents in English.
